The Stones have been called “The Greatest Rock Band in the World” – a description that no one can dispute. They started in 1962 and now, 57 years later they’re still going strong – and still making news. We’ve written about the Stones before because they fascinate us.

There are some years where spring seems to linger, and it's great. Spring is one of my favorite seasons. Then there are other times that spring seems non-existent and winter goes straight into summer. This got me thinking about a summer wardrobe, as with my travels, I have already been hit with some hot and humid summer-like days. Of course, this gives me a reason to talk about summer wardrobe styling!

I first wrote about “Stitch Fix” for ADEA in a blog titled “Tech Savvy Females Reign” that appeared on March 14, 2018.
For the record, I do not remember the titles of all the ADEA blogs I’ve written and when they appeared. So I have a bright red three-hole binder to help me keep track of the month, year and headline of each blog.

On Saturday, November 18, 2018, D&G released a post on China’s social media platform, “Weibo” to promote its upcoming runway show in Shanghai on November 21st.

I have been watching domestic goddess, Ina Garten, create mouth-watering delicacies on her cooking show forever. Now, it seems, we are in a new era where shows such as, “The World’s Worst Cook” or “How to Beat So-and-So in X-Minutes” reign supreme. Obviously this type of scheduling is geared to an audience that has no interest in watching a cook in the kitchen who whips up several superb dishes for a memorable lunch or dinner. I only catch The Barefoot Contessa now by accident: early mornings on days I can never remember.

As you are certain to know by now, I'm a fan of museums and especially fashion exhibits. There is something special about taking a step back into time via fashion. It tells us so much about the culture of the time, from the multi-layered ensembles women used to wear to the first bikini that came onto the scene to the androgynous style we see now.

Lagerfeld, the German design super star absolutely fascinates me. (This blog was written two days before he passed away.) Remarkably he juggles Karl Lagerfeld, Fendi and Chanel collections with ease and has even made his beloved cat, Choupette, a worldwide star.

I have always been intrigued by the idea of flying around the world in a private jet to check off must-see spots on one’s bucket list. However, when I’ve received brochures about this type of travel the info is usually in the form of descriptive copy and photos of the tours. For example, the number of passengers per tour, how many days each tour takes, where the tour goes, what one will experience, and finally, the cost per person.

There was an enormous amount of planning, organizing and cash outlay for the royal tour of Prince Harry and his lovely wife. For example, there were 76 engagements and 39 official outfits for a wardrobe estimated at 118,000 in British Pound sterling (or $150,478 in US currency. (I did the conversion so if it’s wrong – which I doubt – you can blame me.)

In January, there was a lot of talk on the fashion scene when Karl Lagerfeld missed the Chanel Haute Couture show in Paris. A haute couture show is the show of the year. It is an opportunity for a brand to showcase the best they have to offer, not only in design and artistic abilities but in terms of craftsmanship with many details (if not all) completely done by hand.

Are we fascinated with the Duchess of Sussex? Of course, we are! She is an American actress who has married into royalty – which isn’t as unusual as one may think.

Did you know that, from the minute you step into an Uber you are being watched and rated as a passenger? Let’s rephrase this: not you rating your driver – him rating you. This all seemed preposterous to me. Then I read a very clever article about this in the Financial Times, dated the weekend of July 7th and 8th of 2018. Full disclosure: I still take Yellow Cabs, no Ubers.
