Looking for love in all the right places can be daunting so when I came across a “dating” article in Fast Company by Jon Birger I was intrigued. I immediately headed off to the library to get a copy.

In the past five years, we’ve made a number of visits to the Campbell Apartment and, for one reason or another we were unable to get in. So, imagine our dismay, when the New York Post, 7/1/16, reported that it was closing as of the end of July.

On June 16th we went to Williams-Sonoma at Columbus Circle for an event sponsored by Marie Claire magazine that toasted the first anniversary of Made Real Vodka, which is distilled from wheat and honey and made in Port Chester, New York (50 minutes from Manhattan).

This past week, I could hardly believe it, but there was a crispness in the air. There was that feeling that fall was not that far away. Well, before I knew it, that crispness disappeared and humidity came back in. It was a reminder that summer is not over...yet.

I recently received a phone call from a friend in Chicago who began with,
“Congratulations on writing 100 blogs for Adea over the past two years.” As we chatted he mentioned that he had been talking with a buddy about the economy – always a hot topic – when his Midwestern pal said, “Well, I hear that the Broadway theaters are doing well.”

Like most of us, I feel as if I’ve been buying Ralph Lauren apparel and home goods forever so it came as a shock to read that in a two-year period sales and profits for the company have fallen by 50%.

Shortly after the end of the 2015 Tour de France, it was announced the 2016 edition would begin at Mont-Saint-Michel. At that moment, I knew I had to go. Although I had been watching cycling on and off since the time of the Lance Armstrong era, I had been avidly following it the past few years.

On Friday, July 1st we decided it was time to see the current exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum with the provocative title, Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology before it ended on August 14th. It’s not smart to delay these things because there is so much to do in New York that a date can just fly by without one noticing.

On Saturday, June 4th I decided to see an exhibit at the Jewish Museum located on Fifth Avenue and 92nd Street in Manhattan. Why was I interested in doing this? Number One, I’ve always been interested in Isaac Mizrahi, who is often described as an American fashion designer, artist and entrepreneur.
