Last November we reported on "Giving Tuesday", a growing movement that takes place the Tuesday following Thanksgiving. Giving Tuesday, or better known as #GivingTuesday, was created to promote the spirit and act of giving through the use of social media sites.
In the post, I highlighted an organization that I support, called Razia's Ray of Hope Foundation. Run by Razia Jan, an Afghan woman from Boston, the Foundation funds a girls school in Afghanistan in an effort to improve their lives through education.
Much to my surprise, I saw an article this weekend in the NY Times about the school and its progress. At it's start in 2008 there were 109 girls attending. Now there are nearly 600. You can read the full article here.
Whatever cause is close to your heart we hope you'll spread the word on Giving Tuesday!

I just read an article that sounded – to me at least – like “a canary in a coal mine” or an early warning of danger. This piece, written by Joe Pompeo, appeared in the May 2020 issue of Vanity Fair magazine with the title “The British Tabloid Invasion” and a subtitle that read, “How the Daily Mail is conquering American gossip.”

Apparently the good old U.S. is a nation of “not great” sleepers. Really? And I thought I was the only one! According to a recent study by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention it was revealed that one out of three Americans are chronically sleep-deprived. Yikes!
