With all of the new fashion coming at us, especially with spring collections hitting the stores, it's easy to get caught up in the latest trends or styling fads. Of course I enjoy breaking them down for you, such as in Fashion Week Street Style Trends or The Belt Bag, but for this post, I decided to go to basics. That is, back to basics with Adea.
When I first got introduced to Adea, I immediately appreciated the brand's approach to fashion - using high quality fabrics in pieces that were styling essentials. It is something the brand has not veered from, and I respect that.
So, why am I bringing this up now? Well, in my recent travels, I brought along a top I had not worn before - I generally advise against this as why take up space in your suitcase with something you don't know how will fit or look or most importantly, you will feel in? Anyhow, after putting it on, trying it on with some different bottoms and finally taking it off, I realized what I needed was a bodysuit, such as an Adea bodysuit. I wanted a top that stayed in place - such as a bodysuit, was in a basic color - black, and was made of a soft material - such as Adea's soft Italian fabric.
When looking at your wardrobe for spring, remember the basics. It is something that can be so easily overlooked, but it's essential to any successful wardrobe. Starting with a good foundation, beginning with your lingerie and building up, will help ensure you are not only stylish but comfortable. And remember, if you aren't comfortable in what you wear, no matter what you have on, you will not exude a your natural confidence.
While you begin deciding which spring trends to buy into, be sure you have your wardrobe stocked with basic essentials first. Some of my Adea favorites, include: Long Sleeve Crew Neck Bodysuit, Long Sleeve Turtleneck Layering Top and 3/4 Sleeve V Neck Layering Top. Which basic is your favorite?
Happy Styling!

I just read an article that sounded – to me at least – like “a canary in a coal mine” or an early warning of danger. This piece, written by Joe Pompeo, appeared in the May 2020 issue of Vanity Fair magazine with the title “The British Tabloid Invasion” and a subtitle that read, “How the Daily Mail is conquering American gossip.”

Apparently the good old U.S. is a nation of “not great” sleepers. Really? And I thought I was the only one! According to a recent study by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention it was revealed that one out of three Americans are chronically sleep-deprived. Yikes!

I think we’re all taken by the incredible mystique of the famous French fashion house, Hermès that has been with us for two centuries and is still owned and operated by the same family. From its beginnings in fine equestrian leather goods, they are – in the tumultuous year 2020 – best known for their handbags and many other items.
My image of Hermès has always been rarified products at equally rarified prices so imagine my surprise when I recently received a very stylish publication of theirs in the mail.
