For some time we’ve been playing with different fabrics to create a collection that will complement our current offerings of micro fiber layering tees and camis. We received a lot of feedback from customers looking for a looser, more relaxed-fit tee to wear over their Adea under-layers and we couldn’t agree more!
We have you covered for luxurious base layers. Now, it’s time for us to bring you a beautiful array of relaxed-fit tees.
Unfinished prototype of two-toned crewneck tee
True to our "everyday luxury" mission, we want to offer only the highest quality, most durable fabric possible, creating timeless styles that work flawlessly with your existing wardrobe. So, we set out testing lightweight cottons, heavier weight micro fibers, wool blends, and silk blends.
We sampled them all! Some of the fabrics we felt didn’t drape properly on the body to offer the desired relaxed fit. Other fabrics didn’t accommodate temperature changes well. With active customers from all over the world who love to travel, a fabric that functions in both hot and cold is a must!
Finally we found a lovely, Italian-made, stretch jersey knit made with Modal, a semi-synthetic fiber, and blended with polyamide and elastane for a breathable, silky soft stretch. Modal fabric drapes beautifully, maintains it's shape over time and is machine washable.
Three styles will be available for delivery in early May: a short sleeve v neck tee, a long sleeve dolman, and a two-toned crew neck. Stay tuned for next week – we’ll post images of the prototypes.
If you would like to feel this gorgeous Modal fabric please contact us and we’ll be happy to send out swatches.
Comments will be approved before showing up.
I just read an article that sounded – to me at least – like “a canary in a coal mine” or an early warning of danger. This piece, written by Joe Pompeo, appeared in the May 2020 issue of Vanity Fair magazine with the title “The British Tabloid Invasion” and a subtitle that read, “How the Daily Mail is conquering American gossip.”

Apparently the good old U.S. is a nation of “not great” sleepers. Really? And I thought I was the only one! According to a recent study by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention it was revealed that one out of three Americans are chronically sleep-deprived. Yikes!
I think we’re all taken by the incredible mystique of the famous French fashion house, Hermès that has been with us for two centuries and is still owned and operated by the same family. From its beginnings in fine equestrian leather goods, they are – in the tumultuous year 2020 – best known for their handbags and many other items.
My image of Hermès has always been rarified products at equally rarified prices so imagine my surprise when I recently received a very stylish publication of theirs in the mail.
We use Italian lingerie sizing for our bodywear and items tend to run small.
Because of the body-hugging nature of the fabric and our body conscious fit most women prefer to wear our layering tops as under-layers. If you are inclined to wear them on their own we suggest you size up. Please contact us. We're happy to help you get it right.
