Our favorite feature is back this week but with a little twist. We interviewed Barbara, the graphic designer extraordinaire, who creates the Polyvore boards that show creative, unique ways to wear Adea pieces. They are always dreamy and inspirational, like this set, and let's be honest, it's nice to dream about an endless closet! You can see her Polyvore sets for Adea each Saturday on our blog or on Facebook. Read more about Barbara below.
Hi! My name is Barbara and I'm a visual designer based in New York City. Recently, I graduated from Hunter College with Media major. I was born in Poland and moved in to States with my family a few years ago. I love all areas of design. I'm inspired by minimalism, layout and typography. I'm crazy about colors and shapes.
I work full-time as graphic designer and do my freelance projects on the site so my creative hunger is balanced. I'm passionate about healthy living, travel and music. I'm a gym freak and I tried to work out everyday. I love exploring, so I visit galleries and attend AIGA and GA inspiring talks, summer festivals.
In my free time to like to hike upstate and discover new places. This year I'm going to Barcelona, Spain and I'm super excited. I can't live without the music. I can't breath without my better half and our cute dog, Spike (yes, he has its own Instagram page @MyDogNewYorker).
My personal style is... comfortable chic. I love clean cuts and wedges. But it's all about feeling good about what you're wearing. When we feel good we are more likely to feel good inside, have more energy and treat others better.
My personal styling trick is... wearing statement accessories (bold necklaces, big cuffs, cute shoes and bags)
I’d be lost without…my Google Map app. Literally. I have pretty bad orientation :)
The best place I’ve ever traveled to is…Mexico.
My favorite Adea piece is…the 3/4 sleeve crew neck layering top in white and grey.
Flash round:
Morning person or night owl? Definitely night owl. My best design work is happening after hours.
Coffee or tea? Tea, I quit coffee a while ago.
Cats or dogs? I love all animals, but because I'm a mommy to Spike, then dogs :)

I just read an article that sounded – to me at least – like “a canary in a coal mine” or an early warning of danger. This piece, written by Joe Pompeo, appeared in the May 2020 issue of Vanity Fair magazine with the title “The British Tabloid Invasion” and a subtitle that read, “How the Daily Mail is conquering American gossip.”

Apparently the good old U.S. is a nation of “not great” sleepers. Really? And I thought I was the only one! According to a recent study by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention it was revealed that one out of three Americans are chronically sleep-deprived. Yikes!
I think we’re all taken by the incredible mystique of the famous French fashion house, Hermès that has been with us for two centuries and is still owned and operated by the same family. From its beginnings in fine equestrian leather goods, they are – in the tumultuous year 2020 – best known for their handbags and many other items.
My image of Hermès has always been rarified products at equally rarified prices so imagine my surprise when I recently received a very stylish publication of theirs in the mail.
We use Italian lingerie sizing for our bodywear and items tend to run small.
Because of the body-hugging nature of the fabric and our body conscious fit most women prefer to wear our layering tops as under-layers. If you are inclined to wear them on their own we suggest you size up. Please contact us. We're happy to help you get it right.
