Thyme-Parmesan Popcorn

When people think of popcorn, images of a calorie-laden, buttery and salted tub comes to mind. Eaten largely at movie theaters, those little popped kernels are given a bit of a bad rap. Popcorn, made without gobs of melted butter, can be a flavorful, healthy treat. Dress it up with some spices and seasonings instead of loading on the heart-clogging calories. Try this thyme-parmesan mixture out for size.

Ingredients

¼ cup unpopped popcorn kernels
1 Tbsp. dried thyme
½ Tbsp. Parmesan cheese
½ tsp. salt

Directions

Place kernels into a brown paper bag. Microwave the bag for approximately 2 minutes until the kernels are all popped. Transfer to a bowl. Spray with a bit of non stick spray. Combine the thyme, Parmesan cheese and salt in a dish. Sprinkle on top of the popcorn and toss to coat.
