Pantone announced that Radiant Orchid is the color of the year for 2014, describing it as “an enchanting harmony of fuchsia, purple and pink undertones, [that] inspires confidence and emanates great joy, love and health. It is a captivating purple, one that draws you in with its beguiling charm.” In a fashion context, "Radiant Orchid’s rosy undertones radiate on the skin, producing a healthy glow when worn by both men and women." And, as an added bonus, it is a "dazzling attention-getter."
Well, we at Adea couldn't agree more! In response, we have expanded our offerings of the "Lilac" color in our color repertoire - the best way to get a hint of Pantone's color of the year in your favorite base layers.
In addition to the bra-friendly camisole, the spaghetti strap camisole, the 3/4 - sleeve scoop neck and the 3/4 - sleeve crew neck the we already featured in Lilac, we have recently added the 3/4-sleeve boat neck and the 3/4 sleeve v-neck style to provide you with even more opportunities to give your skin a radiant flush and to catch the eye of those around you.
When building an outfit with your new Lilac Adea pieces, try pairing them with complementary colors in the green spectrum such as olive, hunter, turquoise and teal. And, of course, Lilac is the perfect choice to liven up softer, muted neutrals such as gray, beige and taupe.
Here's to a New Year full of new possibilities, new fashion and new color!

I just read an article that sounded – to me at least – like “a canary in a coal mine” or an early warning of danger. This piece, written by Joe Pompeo, appeared in the May 2020 issue of Vanity Fair magazine with the title “The British Tabloid Invasion” and a subtitle that read, “How the Daily Mail is conquering American gossip.”

Apparently the good old U.S. is a nation of “not great” sleepers. Really? And I thought I was the only one! According to a recent study by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention it was revealed that one out of three Americans are chronically sleep-deprived. Yikes!

I think we’re all taken by the incredible mystique of the famous French fashion house, Hermès that has been with us for two centuries and is still owned and operated by the same family. From its beginnings in fine equestrian leather goods, they are – in the tumultuous year 2020 – best known for their handbags and many other items.
My image of Hermès has always been rarified products at equally rarified prices so imagine my surprise when I recently received a very stylish publication of theirs in the mail.
