Navy: Fall 2013’s Go-To Neutral

September 11, 2013

It’s Fashion Week in NYC and social media is abuzz with images and videos of the Spring 2014 runway shows and presentations. However, if you are looking to prepare your wardrobe for the current shift in seasons, you should be viewing this past spring’s images and videos of the Fall 2013 runway shows and presentations. Confusing, I know…

In order to simplify things a bit, let’s focus in on one of the biggest trends for Fall 2013:

While dark, moody colors and a reliance on neutrals are expected come September and the advent of fall, each year’s collections seems to bubble up a color that takes center stage. For Fall 2013, navy – and all of its nuanced variations - was the front-runner. Numerous designers relied heavily upon it as their foundation color and some designers even went so far as to use navy and other rich blues almost exclusively in head-to-toe tonal looks like the ones above from Reed Krakoff.

Luckily, Adea has exactly what you need to tackle this trend. Our moisture-wicking and form-fitting layering tops come in no less than 4 shades of dark blue – Cerulean, Cobalt, Navy Blue and Dark Navy. Pair them with your favorite dark denim jeans, navy blazers, navy trousers, navy chinos and navy pencil skirts in order to enter fall in style!

Is Fasting For You? Or Not.

May 14, 2020

These days, everyone has an opinion about food so I was interested in two recent articles I came across: one in Bazaar and another in the Weekend Financial Times.

In the magazine the headline reads: “Silicon Valley’s Dangerous New Obsession to Get Sharper and More Focused At Work” – this is followed by a subhead stating: Proponents of extreme fasting and other biohacks believe that it makes them smarter and more productive. But is it safe?

The Met Marks Its 150th Anniversary

May 08, 2020

In the January 2020 issue of Town & Country I spotted a fascinating piece by Josh Duboff about New York’s famous Metropolitan Museum. He begins with this: “Harold Koda remembers the first time he stood in front of the Met, which would eventually become his workplace.”

BODYWEAR

We use Italian lingerie sizing  for our bodywear and items tend to run small.

Because of the body-hugging nature of the fabric and our body conscious fit most women prefer to wear our layering tops as under-layers. If you are inclined to wear them on their own we suggest you size up. Please email us or give us a call if you have questions about your sizing. We're happy to help you get it right.

MODAL TEES

Relaxed fit. Wear alone or over any of our layering tees or camisoles.

Please email us or give us a call if you have questions about your sizing. We're happy to help you get it right.
