I became interested in Missoni when I read a laudatory piece in Bazaar’s January 2018 issue written by Joan Juliet Buck. I had read her memoir, The Price of Illusion, and was quite impressed, so I sat down at once and read A Colorful Yarn – which reported, in detail, her ties to Missoni.

When I read Ayn Rand’s first major literary success, The Fountainhead, many years ago, I was overwhelmed. It was published in 1943 and is still selling like hotcakes. “It’s reprinted regularly,” said the young sales clerk at Barnes & Noble as he showed me shelf-after-shelf of her books on the fourth floor of the Union Square store.

While I was in Miami for Art Basel, I went up to Palm Beach. I had heard about Palm Beach but hadn't been there before; I didn't know what to expect. Well, I was pleasantly surprised! I loved what Palm Beach had to offer - it is its own oasis within Florida with its own personality.
