Although spring may not officially be here it, although almost, it’s time to start thinking about how you can get ready for the months ahead.
Spring Cleaning
This may seem cliché, but the spring season is a great time to take a look through your current wardrobe to see what you can purge, set aside for charity or keep for another year.
Start by looking to see if there are winter items in your closet you haven’t touched all year. Chances are that if you haven’t worn them this year, next year won’t be any different.
One strategy I’ve started doing, which has worked quite well, is to set aside those items I’m on the fence on. Then, I walk away from those items and this task for a couple of days. When I come back to those items, I can better decide if they should be purged, go to charity or be kept for another year.
Looking Ahead
Especially when living in the Northeast, you can’t put away all of your warm weather clothes too soon, as you don’t ever know when one of those chilly days will sneak back in. Yet, now is a good time to start looking ahead to your spring wardrobe.
Were there any missing pieces from your wardrobe last year that you know you’ll need to find for this year? Maybe, as you were cleaning your closet, you realized you needed some more layering pieces to help you navigate the seasons?
While we are transitioning between seasons, it’s a great time to look ahead.
Treat Yourself
While in the grocery store the other day, I spotted bouquets of tulips. The colors were so vibrant and instantly brought a smile to my face. They were such a nice change from the cold and dreary weather we have been experiencing and colors we have been seeing.
Whether it’s treating yourself to flowers or even adding something special to your wardrobe, it’s a great way to say goodbye to the winter and hello to the year ahead.
Maybe it’s the right time to try one of our camisoles or even purchase that handbag you’ve had your eye on.

We may be three months into 2015, but there’s something about the changing of seasons that allow for a fresh start, a clean slate.

I just read an article that sounded – to me at least – like “a canary in a coal mine” or an early warning of danger. This piece, written by Joe Pompeo, appeared in the May 2020 issue of Vanity Fair magazine with the title “The British Tabloid Invasion” and a subtitle that read, “How the Daily Mail is conquering American gossip.”
