Coral – for a limited time only!
|
You asked and we answered!
Next week, our 2 best selling styles – the ¾ sleeve crew neck and the bra-friendly cami – will be available in coral, per your request. However, we have only ordered a small batch of these styles in this color, so they will only be available for a limited time. Get yours before they are gone!
Add coral to your collection and enjoy wearing it throughout the summer to highlight your sun-kissed skin. Layer the coral bra-friendly cami beneath a khaki linen suit or pair the coral ¾ sleeve crew neck with white jeans, turquoise jewelry and gold metallic sandals for warm-weather style.
Do you have another color that you’d like us to stock? While we are always updating our selection due to seasonal trends, we are also happy to add colors based on customer request. Send us a note here - https://www.myadea.com/form/contact-us - and let us know what color you would like to see in our Italian microfiber.
We’re looking forward to hearing from you!

Nude shoes - God's gift to fashion
|
In this humble stylist’s opinion, nude shoes are God’s gift to fashion. Not only are they the epitome of understated elegance, but they are also the answer to your every shoe conundrum. Never again will you wonder, “But, what shoes go with this?”
Nude shoes are of particular importance as we move into the spring/summer season and tights and nylons are tossed by the wayside. So, if you don’t yet own a pair, now is the time to take action. I recommend starting with a pair of classic pumps.
Here are some tips for selecting the best pair for you:
-
Nude is a relative term.
In order to be successful, your nude shoes need to be nude-for-you. In other words, you need to find a pair that matches your skin-tone or they won’t fade into the background as they are intended to. Those with fair skin should be on the lookout for nude shoes with pink undertones, while those with medium to dark skin should be on the lookout for nude shoes with gray and/or brown undertones.
-
Find a happy medium.
Sometimes pointed toes are in style and sometimes rounded toes are. In order for your shoes to remain relevant no matter the trend, I recommend selecting a shoe with an almond-shaped toe. This rounded point lands you right smack in the middle of the two trends, allowing for greater longevity and wear-ability.
-
Patent is preferred.
Clothing in flesh tones often has the negative effect of “washing out” its wearer. While the risk is reduced in footwear since the shoes are not near their owner’s face, they can still look drab if you’re not careful. The solution? A nude shoe in patent leather. The shine from the patent will distinguish the shoe ever so slightly from your skin and will breathe a little life into the neutral palette.
-
One is never enough.
While nude patent pumps are definitely your first priority, don’t stop there. A nude patent ballet flat and open-toed sandal (either flat, heeled or both) are definitely welcome additions to any closet.
Now that you have some guidelines, get to shopping! As the weather warms up, bare-legged fashions are dying to be worn and nude shoes will be your outfit’s best companion. Just like Adea’s basics, your nude patent pumps will act as a can’t-live-without foundation piece for your wardrobe.
(P.S. Featured above are the nude pumps that yours truly selected after carefully considering her options. They are the “Madison” pump by Stuart Weitzman in the “Adobe Aniline Patent” and feature an almond toe, a not-too-high heel, a hidden platform under the ball of the foot and the just-right shade of nude for me. They retail for $298, a very reasonable price point for such a high quality and useful shoe, but are currently on sale on Zappos.com for $199, so act fast if they look like the right shoe for you too!!)

Treat your Mother to Adea on Mother's Day
|
Mother’s Day is right around the corner. In fact, it will be here in a little less than 2 weeks, on Sunday May 12th. While chocolates, flowers and brunch dates are always welcome gifts on Mother’s Day, why not be unique and treat your mother to Adea??
Here are some of our favorite gift ideas:
Pair the Culotte with Lace Trim or the Low-RiseLace Boyshort with our Lace V-Neck Camisole for a sexy, yet comfortable sleep set for the spring and summer months.
Pair the Straight Leg Pant with the ¾ Sleeve Scoop Neck Layering Top for a luxurious lounging or workout ensemble.
Select 2-3 of our infinitely useful layering tops in your mother’s favorite colors to help expand her spring wardrobe.
Treat her to our ¾ Bell Sleeve Dress for simple spring dressing that is as chic as it is comfortable.
Pair our Panties or any of our thongs with one of our best-selling layering tanks to ensure that your mom has high-end base layers that will keep her cool and dry.
No matter what option you choose, your mother will feel pampered by our luxurious fabrics and ready for spring in our bright, bold colors. Just don’t forget to include a card!

Healthy & Easy!
|
My new health obsession has become a full time family affair.
A few months ago, my sister introduced me to the Nutri Bullet because she was doing a three day detox from Dr Oz. She shared one of her Nutriblast shakes that she made and I was hooked! I purchased mine that very day.
With all of the buzz about the benefits of super foods and green shakes I loved the idea that you could not only incorporate vegetables, fruits and nuts but you could add so much more as well, like flax seeds, chia seeds, all natural peanut butter, coconut water. With the Nutri Bullet you are able to extract all of the nutrients that these foods have to offer and it's extremely easy to digest.
It has been a wonderful way for my family and I to eat veggies and fruit that we normally would not eat. I enjoyed it so much that I even got one for the office for quick and healthy snacks during the day.

Slip into an Adea slip
|
Last week’s blog about thongs got me thinking about other undergarments that prove indispensible in the spring and summer months. Another go-to foundation piece for both me and my clients is the slip.
Adea’s slips serve a five-fold service. They protect you from…
-
Overexposure
Our slips will ensure that your lightweight spring and summer skirts and dresses are never sheer.
-
Friction
Our slips will ensure that your skirts and dresses lay and drape as they are intended and will not shift, bunch or ride up.
-
Staining
Our slips will ensure that your clothing is protected from stains resulting from perspiration, sunless tanning products and makeup in order to increase its longevity.
-
Discomfort
Our slips will ensure that your skin can breathe and stay cool and dry, no matter the weather and no matter what other materials you are wearing.
-
Interruptions
Our slips will ensure that your silhouette is free of bumps and bulges, giving you the support you need to look and feel your best.
So, what are you waiting for? Slip into an Adea slip today!
